A New Future

Come tonight, the noisy bells will ring out the old year, and a heavenly silence will bring the new year in. This daylight will fade soon, And the sun, the stars And the moon, will move in rhythm with the hour. In darkness, a new year will settle in. At twilight, when all is nearly done, be sure to do one more thing. Forgive the world. Forgive everyone. Forgive yourself. For everything. Sleep tight, dear one. And sweet dreams to you. Let present happiness be your angel. The world has finished with your past, if you have. All is well. Morning bright, the soft light of the sun kisses your cheek. The East Wind brings the changes in.
